A decade ago, you had to be an F-16 pilot to use global positioning gizmos. Now you'll find GPS technology in everything from wristwatches to cell phones. Hewlett-Packard (HWP) researcher Salil Pradhan and his colleagues are hoping that their new software, called Websigns, can extend GPS further into a new kind of messaging platform.
